Geocache Description:

You will find many "walking trees" on this island. The soft sandy soil erodes away easily causing the tree roots to become exposed. The most impressive example of this is on the far west end of Sand Island and is pictured below.

Ten feet of soil have been eroded from under this tree, revealing a fascinating structure of roots. The coordinates will take you to this tree and the cache. It is a camo'd match container . stars are for more than just the boat needed to get here!
