Geocache Description:

This is Bison Tube cache located in Charlton, MA. The cache is a very short walk from your car. Cache contains a log book only. Bring your own pen. GPS signals in the area seem to be weak and wonder a bit. It may take a little time to settle down and the clue could be helpful.

This cache is one in my Eagle Scout Series. My goal is to bring you to a place that an Eagle Scout has completed his Eagle Scout Service Project. One of the requirements for a Life Scout to become an Eagle Scout is they must demonstrate leadership of others in a service project that is helpful to their religious organization, school or community. They must plan all the details of the project, obtain any permits or permissions necessary and then recruit and lead a team to complete their vision. They need to seek donations of materials, or plan a fund raiser, that will supply the needs of their project. They will manage change and resolve any issues that arise as they work to complete their goal. Please take a moment as you pass by these areas to realize that what you are looking at is the work of a very dedicated responsible young man. These are perhaps the future leaders of our great country. The Eagle Scout Service Project here was to rebuild the bridge that crosses the river. The cache is not hidden on the bridge. This area is subject to flooding by the Army Corp of Engineers.
