The 1800's found several groups of pioneers settling in the valley below Mount Nebo. They developed mining sites where gypsum was removed for making plaster. The early settlers also set up a saw mill and floated logs in a flume from Bear Canyon to the saw mill below.
My wife and I stopped here on a drive over Nebo Loop to see that fall colors. When we stopped here we could not believe there was not a cache here to find. We decided to fix that, but the only container I had was a magnetic key holder so we are not sure it will make it through the winter. But until then happy caching!
