Lakeview Rest Traditional Cache

This cache and it’s contents are intended to be oriented towards the Hiker / Camper enthusiast.

It is located in Strathcona Prov. Park near the main McKenzie Lake campsite approx midway on the trail from Mt. Washington to the old Forbidden Plateau Ski Lodge.

I have rated terrain difficulty as 4 only because of the relatively long hike involved. (Approx 15 km from Mt. Washington or 10 km if coming from the old Forbidden Plateau Ski Lodge.)

First go to the McKenzie Lake campsite at N 49°40.937’, W 125° 15.888’. (See picture)
This is a good place to camp overnight, usually with good fishing, if you want to make it a 2 day trip.

From Campsite co-ords, follow a trail SW out of the campsite approx 50 yds to the cache.

Cache is in a 7” x 10” x 4” Cammo’d Ammo Case.
