Geocache Description:

A cache located below the peak of High Rock in Weetamoo Woods. I did not place it on the summit due to the high muggle factor. You will need to go off-trail to grab this one.

After finding the cache, take the time to get to the summit, especially in the fall - the views are worth it.

This cache is located below the peak of High Rock. Although you can reach it from above, it is more difficult than other routes. If you choose this way, you can scramble down just South of the cache location. If you decide for an easier (but still tricky) route, use the points below.

No matter how you get there, please be sure to let someone know where you are. Also, assess your abilities before attempting this as you approach the cache location. I'd rather not hear about someone getting hurt. Also, the final 100 yards will be extra dangerous after a rain, snow, or in icy conditions.

Weetamoo is a fun place to explore any time of year. There are trails criss-crossing the woods, a swamp, some great rocks to climb on, as well as old cellar holes and a mill dam.

A decent trail map can be found here. It indicates locations of the various sites. Please watch the trail markings as you approach High Rock as things can get a little confusing if you aren't paying attention.

Pack a snack or even a lunch and enjoy a nice long walk in the woods. The view from High Rock is well worth the effort! Be sure to pack and use bug spray in the summer...the bugs can be brutal.
