Seventh in the series of caches placed by the Museum to celebrate Take a Child Outside Week, September 24-30. Take a Child Outside is an initiative by the NC Museum of Natural Sciences designed to help break down obstacles that keep children from discovering the natural world. By arming parents, teachers and other caregivers with resources on outdoor activities, our goal is to help children across the country develop a better understanding and appreciation of the environment in which they live, and a burgeoning enthusiasm for its exploration. Enjoy exploring the great outdoors while searching for this cache, and keep exploring long after you have found it.
This cache has been relocated. We have re-stocked the new one with an assortment of Museum-related swag, including a Take a Child Outside thumbdrive, a squashed penny, a magnifying box, a Museum pencil, and stretchy critter.
