Geocache Description:

This cache was placed with dogwalkers in mind, giving your dog some space to run and giving you a nice view over London.

Parking is available here : N 51° 21.083 E 000° 00.475 which is adjacent to the Metropolitan Police DSU Dog Training Establishment.

Most initial training of the dogs happens here after which they get placed for some field training and the real jobs. The dogs are trained throughout their working life, which is usually 7½ to 8½ years.
When they retire, the dogs usually stay with their handler as a pet. Dogs and handlers from all over the country and many parts of the world attend the MPS Dog Training Establishment for a variety of courses.
The department uses tried and tested dog breeds such as German or Belgian Shepherd Dogs, Labradors and Springer or Cocker Spaniels. Some dogs are bred at Keston, whilst others are donated (up to 24 months old). The DSU breeding program supplies many of the puppies from proven working dogs.
They are cared for in the homes of DSU staff and puppy walkers until they are allocated for basic training at around 12 months old. After you have parked, be aware you have a short 50 meter walk ON the side of the road to get to the start of the public footpath. Pay very close attention to children and pets!!

Cache when placed contained logbook/pencil, Doggie slobber cloth, small flashing dog collar, large dog collar, squeaky dog toy and a dog comb. Please make sure if you swap that all swaps are doggie related!
