Hugo Houghton was a fan of sledding in the winter. His last name is not really Houghton, but his friends liked to call him that because he would climb to the top of this winding road in the winter and sled down to the bottom.
This hide is an homage to the years of fun had on this hill.
Since sledding on this street was always such a risk and a challenge, the hide represents the same. Good luck.
Sadly and rather ironically, this cache can't be had during the winter. So if you come during the winter, bring your sled and not your GPS.
Please be careful not to get run over.
Parking can be difficult, especially in the wintertime.
Feel free to bring your own sled for a fun and quick ride back downtown.
Congrats to gworol for the FTF!
Congrats to Capt. Bob for the DNF! (OK, so this is rather unusual. But this cache has been here a long time and maybe one of us live right nearby and know how many numerous DNFs have occurred there, so I give kudos and respect for Capt. Bob for admitting the defeat. Swallow your pride folks, this is a unique hide that most have not seen before.)
