First annual NCC Oktoberfest celebration! Come on out and try out a new place in San Marcos and eat, drink (beer or root beer whatever suits your fancy) and of course be very merry! Join us starting at 6 PM for nothing more than a fun meet and greet.

Here's a little history:
Oktoberfest is a sixteen-day festival held each year in Munich, Germany, running from late September to early October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year, and is an important part of Bavarian culture. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event.
Visitors also eat huge amounts of traditional hearty fare such as Hendl (chicken), Schweinsbraten (roast pork), Haxn (knuckle of pork), Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick), Würstel (sausages) along with Brezeln (Pretzel), Knödeln (potato or bread dumplings), Käsespätzle (cheese noodles), Reiberdatschi (potato pancakes), Sauerkraut or Rotkraut (red cabbage) along with such Bavarian delicacies as Obatzda (a fatty, spiced cheese-butter concoction) and Weisswurst (a white sausage).
Unfortunately none of the above food items will be available. This is San Marcos after all, not Munich! But there will be a suitable menu of burgers, sandwiches and finger foods available.
PLEASE SPECIFY if you prefer beef (a variety of burgers are available) or chicken (as in a sandwich) and how many will be in your party when you post your log so I can give the owner advance warning.
The outdoor patio has been reserved, and has a wood burning stove there if it's chilly, but bring a jacket just in case. We can linger inside too if needed.
