An easy walk of about 4 miles over pleasant countryside near Morton Bagot.
This is number 1 of a series of 15 caches set in undulating countryside near Morton Bagot. Easy walking with no serious hills and only a couple of stiles over a bridge but one or two places could become muddy after rain, so boots recommended then.Directions have been given where they might be helpful Morton Bagot church is worth a visit at the end of the walk. The church itself is at Church Farm, (N52 16.845 W001 50.221) it has not been restored but is worth a visit. It dates from 1300 with the wooden bell turret erected about 1600. The manor was held by William Bagot in the reign of Edward I and it is from him that the parish takes its name. Henley-in-Arden is about 4 miles away with all its pubs, famous ice cream shop and buildings of historical interest. There are lots of other caches in the area including 2 of our own: Bannam's Bonanza GCX9A7; and Stoop to Conquer GC16TBH. At some times of the year there are cows around. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PENCIL. Cache is a Micro, film pot size.
