A regular sized container in Santa Maria park in Cambridge, Ontario.
For those who don't know, the Santa Maria was one of Columbus' ships during the late 1400's. This park, located in the south-eastern part of the city shares its name.
The park itself boasts a lovely forested area, spray pad, swings and jungle gym. We chose to place this cache in the forested areas. Please be kind to the area and practice CITO and STAY ON THE TRAILS as much as possible - it is possible to get within a couple metres of this cache while still following one of the main trails through the woods.
The cache is a square take out container. It may or may not have the name of another cache on the outside/log book cover - please ignore this as I do recycle caches and logs when possible..
Area gets slippery in the muddy season. May not be winter friendly, as is on ground level, but is waterproof.
A Path entrance, the one you will want to use, has been added as a waypoint. DO NOT use the path that goes across the back of peoples' yards. You won't be able to get to the cache from there.
The cache is now located nowhere near the "neighbour's dumping place", and is not deep within the trees. It is located in a root base, under a small rock.
If you are still having problems with it, please let me know, but hopefully no more DNFs to be logged!
