Geocache Description:

The Eagle

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ringed with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

(Alfred Tennyson, 1851)

(Die folgende Beschreibung ist deshalb auf Englisch, weil dieser Cache im Zuge eines schulischen Projekts ausgelegt wurde!)

This 1.5 kilometer multicache is proposed to give you an informational tour of Dortmund, the city of the thousand eagles.

As its heraldic animal is omnipresent during your trip, you’ll have to collect information about the six well-known eagles pictured in the photos below (click to enlarge!). Each of them represents one verse of the poem and can be found at one of the stages, but consider:
The stations and the pictures are in no coherent or chronological order, though passing them as they are arranged beneath is the shortest way possible!

At each stage of the geocache, note your findings and insert them into these coordinates:
N 51° 30.(A+D-F)(F)(B-D) E 007° 2(A+B-D).(C+F)(B-C)(E-C)

Having arrived at the calculated position, watch out for an often used type of a waterproof container. It includes a FTF-Certificate for the first discoverer next to the usual logbook.

Happy Hunting
