Another cache on the UMD campus and on the same trail system as Corsair Connection.
This cache is located near the remains of some interesting old "ruins" that I accidentally came across while walking the trail one day. I don't know what they were used for or how long they've been there, but they were kind of creepy but at the same time interesting. The cache is a couple hundred feet from the ruins, but if you want to wander over and take a quick peek inside go for it.
You'll also need to brave some deep grass, fight through a couple prickers and either go over or under a big downed tree to reach the cache. If you can find another way in that may be easier, I'll list it.
I'd save this for either the weekend or evening as there is not much parking anywhere close to the trailhead. If you have the urge that badly to go for this in the early afternoon on a weekday you can do one of two things: 1) Park in the VISITOR section of lot 7 and take a ridiculously long walk in or 2) I can't stop you if you want to park close and illegally, but the parking police are in full force and you will probably be ticketed. Please, just save it for the weekends or evening and make it easier on yourself.

I am sad to report that the ruins have collapsed and all that remains of them are some broken piles of wood and rubble. Sorry to those who couldn't see them, but I hope those who did thought they were interesting...
