Overview:
It is an easy traditional cache, which everyone who visit Iceland probably can get (whether planning to a towntrip to Reykjavik, a round trip or a tour through the northwest).
The cache is just a few kilometers from Reykjavik, and is on the way to the north not too far away from the road 1 in the vicinity of a traveling car park.
Description:
You have only to follow a nice short mountain trail up to a beautiful view over the fjord, there a short detour down the hill to the cache.
The length from the parking lot is on a targeted search probably no 20 minutes with the way back to the car. However, the whole trail is also recommended for more, but this one takes much more time because it continues uphill ;-)
It is a log-only cache in a transparent canister. Please bring your own pen.
Other things:
My first cache is laid :-) This i really wanted to do on Iceland. Therefore, i took care of an "emergency provider" for the cache because unfortunately i am not always there on vacation :-( . A friendly Icelandic Geocacher was found and has kindly agreed to help me.
