Geocache Description:

Located in a suburban park in Lower Hutt. Access from 3 different streets, some houses back on to the park, so be aware of muggles watching. Terrain is flat and when it rains gets a bit muddy. The cache is not hidden at the listed co-ords but is in the general vicinity.

The Grand old Duke of York he had ten thousand men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again.
When they were up, they were up

And when they were only halfway up
They were neither up nor down.

The current Duke of York is of course Prince Andrew, he was born A9 Feb 1960 and he has E forenames. This title is usually given to the second son of the British Monarch. Andrew is currently fourth in line to the thrones of 16 countries.

York, the city, was founded by the Romans in the year CD AD, they called it Eboracum. It is a walled city, situated at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England.

York Minster, a grand gothic cathedral situated in York, England has B towers and the 2 western ones are both the same height. F = this height (in metres)/12. It is one of the largest cathedrals of its kind in Northern Europe.

The first recipe for Yorkshire pudding (then called Dripping Pudding) was first published in 17H7. When wheat flour began to come into common use for making cakes and puddings, cooks in the north of England devised a means of making use of the fat that dropped into the dripping pan to cook a batter pudding while the meat roasted.

The infamous Yorkshire Ripper, Peter William Sutcliffe, was born in 19G6 in England and he was convicted of murdering J+8 women in 1981. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in Broadmoor Hospital.

The Yorkshire Terrier was developed in the 18K0’s. The defining features of the breed are its small size and its silky blue and tan coat.
