winglen: We placed this cache in 2009, and because it was pretty exposed we hoped that it might last a few months! We have had to replace it once in over 10 years when the container disappeared but this time the whole sign has gone, and the new sign does not offer the same camo as the previous.
So sadly we have decided to archive. 84 favourite points...not a bad effort.

Geocache Description:

A sneaky little cache that we hope will last.

This cache is modelled on a very clever cache I did near Katherine NT, placed by CHEDENT. He has generously given his agreement for me to do one along similar lines here in Canberra.

When I mentioned my plan to McPhan late last year, he managed to source a container for me. We then prepared the container and have carried it around for months looking for the ideal place to put it. It's been to Bathurst, to Cooma - it's been everywhere man. We even thought about putting a TB tag on it and releasing it into the wild!

Anyway, enough prevarication...we have now placed Spot and hope you like it. Thanks also to BigON who provided some support for this too - a real team effort.

A plea from the owners though - please help this cache to last. Don't do this on your way home when the intersection is buzzing with peak hour traffic. Please conceal your activities from passing traffic, and replace the cache exactly as you found it. There is room to park off the road just beyond GZ.
