The cache is located at a beautiful peaceful spot along the Maunawili Trail. If you park at Pali lookout and walk down the old Pali road to start or from the hairpin turn and start on the trail. The sounds of all the traffic are very present but as you walk they slowly fade. As you turn around the side of the mountain and get a great view into Maunawili valley you notice that things have gotten pretty quiet. Now you are hearing the soft sounds of the trail like the sweet songs of the birds and the wind in the trees. As you head further on the trail you will round a bend and if you are listening you will hear a whispering. You will hear it before you see what is making the sound. Then you see the stand of Ironwood trees with a clearing on the side of the hill just off the trail. The trees are clearly whispering to you, “Take a break, sit and relax, be quiet, reflect and just listen to the whispering trees and …”
He said, "Go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by." Now there was a great wind, so strong that it was splitting mountains and breaking rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle whisper.. Sometimes you need to be still and listen to hear God instead of talking and asking Him for things, let Him talk to you. He is in the small, quiet things like the gentle whispering of the trees.
The cache has moved a little to a new hiding spot due to some careless muggle starting a fire in this beautiful place. If the cache is not completely out of sight one of the many muggles that visit this area are going to take it. Please take care to put the cache back the way you found it, keep it hidden well so others can find it too.
