Geocache Description:

Here is the sixth in the LaGuerre cat series. This time it is Ghost who takes you on a short trip on one of the loop trails that he uses. There are 3 easy stages and a final in this Halloween themed cache (no micros in the woods!).

The story of the LaGuerre cats started when Princess, the elegant Birman who lived in the Kingdom of Cache, met with a local stud and produced the genius, Purr LaGuerre (GCR2F3). A different mating that year resulted in the creation of Purr’s artistic half sister, Chelsea LaGuerre (GCR9RR). The people of the Kingdom decided to find a more appropriate match for Princess so they introduced her to the classy, Vunderbar. Together these two talented cats produced the twins, Charlotte LaGuerre (GC11NOW) and Emily LaGuerre (GCXTCT). Emily, known as the evil twin, met a costumed cat on Halloween and she believed that he was a prince. Emily had forgotten all about the ritual of dressing up for the holiday. Her union with the phony royalty produced triplets, Boo (GC1HP7E), Ghost and Goblin LaGuerre. Last Halloween Boo, the little scaredy cat, summoned his courage and placed a cache. This year it is Ghost’s turn to do the same.

Boo is still somewhat timid and does not like being in the woods but does enjoy the pond views. Ghost, on the other hand, loves scampering about among the trees but he is not fond of the water. Ghost decided to follow his brother's lead and release a cache on Halloween to celebrate his mother and father's union. He chose to place a multi cache in the woods to show off a section of the Morses Pond area that is traveled less frequently. He used a loop trail that does not appear on the Wellesley trail maps but is easy to follow. It starts just beyond the metal entrance gate at the end of Turner Road at the Crosstown Trail. Ghost placed the first three stages less than 25 feet off trail and he placed the final a bit further than that. He is sure that geocachers will be able to follow his Halloween themed stages right to the final cache.

Note: All seven of the cats wanted to be close to each other so we placed Purr LaGuerre, Chelsea LaGuerre, Emily LaGuerre Too, Charlotte LaGuerre, Boo LaGuerre, Ghost LaGuerre, and Goblin LaGuerre in the same town and not too far from each other.
