YOU WILL BE LOOKING FOR A NANO CONTAINER....
This cache is placed near the "Kansas Motorcycle Museum" in Marquette. As we grew up in this community and watching Stanley Engdahl ride in many races, we found it fitting to place a cache here.
The museum was started in 2003 as a local tribute to Marquette's own motorcycle racing legend and FIVE TIME National Racing Champion, "Stan the Man" Engdahl. On display are over 600 trophies Stan won and his legendary Harley Davidson custom-built racing motorcyle he rode during his motorcycle racing career which spanned six decades from the 1940's to the 1990's. While Stan unfortunately passed away on November 12, 2007, his wife LaVona, continues to be curator for the museum.
The Kansas Motorcyle Museum is located on the southeast corner of Washington (the main drag) and Third Street in downtown Marquette, KS. It is open year round, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Museum is also open most holidays, but please call ahead to make sure someone is there. The museum is handicap accessible. ADMISSION IS FREE, BUT DONATIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.
You do not have to enter the museum to find the cache, but if you have time to tour the museum, it is well worth your time.
Permission has been granted to place the cache in this location.
