This cache is placed in approximately the same location as Project
23. (visit link) I’m not sure,
as we DNFed it back in June of ‘06. It is the oldest archived
VT cache. It is hidden at the base of a 24” diameter hemlock
tree, there are some rocks stacked to hide it. See attached photo
for approximate location.

Directions .
This cache is located at White Rocks in Wallingford. Start out from
the picnic area and take the trail that goes to the ice beds. You
can either go all the way to the ice beds (see Lonestarrs cache
WHITE ROCKS~ROCKS~ GC10NV1) to check them out, then onto the cache,
or you can start going for those coords from the getgo! This is
not a cache for the average cacher… It is placed part
way up a huge rock slide.
I strongly suggest that you do NOT go after this one in wet or
slippery conditions. It is not a good place for small children or
geodogs. I have been here twice, the first time I slipped on the
loose rocks and broke my GPS (OUCH). But I still marvel at the
beauty of this area.
There are a few ways to go up this rockslide (did he say,
rockslide??). Be careful in your choosing.
