Geocache Description:

Located along the Cypress Trail, this section of the trail runs straight for over a mile. Parking is available a short hike away, and other more distant parking areas are listed for bikes or distance hikers.

After over five years of drought, a late season tropical storm brought the rain that finally created a surplus, to end our streak of extended dryness. Since that early November rainstorm, a wet pattern has set in with rainy weather almost every week, enough that we will likely end the year wetter than normal.

Updated later: the month of December ended up being the wettest ever recorded. The local rivers (Wateree and Congaree) remain at or near full flood well into 2010...and it all started with Ida's Rain.

This is an ammo can, located a short distance from the trail, with trade items, a log book and a pen.

Please replace it as found, and don’t leave any spoilers or decoys in the area, as they might attract muggles.
