Geocache Description:

The Prairie Sunset Trail will be a 16 mile rail conversion stretching from Wichita to Garden Plain. The most developed part of the trail in late 2009 when this cache was placed was this stretch between Goddard and Garden Plain. Also, this trail has drawn Geocachers to it like … well … Geocachers to a good bike trail. For more information on this trailvisit this link.

Taking a lead to some other cachers in this area, I picked a mile for myself and loaded it up. So this series is called “The Abe Mile” (or AM for short). I tried to break the “abesimpson mold” with some of these caches. There will be no skirts to lift or Grabs to park. Some of these are down right … difficult. If you go for this series, be prepared for thorns, low trees, climbing, and poison ivy.

I can only guess what existed along the rails back when it was active. But when you take your time you can see glimpses of what things were. When you see a pipe sticking out of the ground, you have to know that someone brought that out here, someone put it into the ground, and whatever it was that it was used for was removed for some reason.
The cache is a camo taped pill bottle. You should have the means to retrieve it there for you - and be not afriad to get it well in there when your done. You do not have to cross over the fenceline to get this.
