Geocache Description:

A family friendly cache not too far from the Cleland Wildlife Park carpark.

Near GZ in spring

Manna Gum loop is where the Cleland rangers harvest the gum leaves for the koalas in the park. You will spot the gums as being the ones that are cut very short due to the constant harvesting.

The loop is quite short but there's a nice view of Adelaide through the trees as you follow it around. The cache has a Koala theme so please bring along a swap in keeping with the theme.

For the more adventurous, follow the Long Ridge track down the hill and then back up again via Bartril Spur track (8kms). We counted around fifteen koalas along the Bartril Spur track when we placed the cache today.

This cache was replaced on 12/9/10 after a bushfire burned out the old one.
