Good Dog: This cache has reached it's expiration date. Our guide lines require us to archive caches after one year so that the social trails that have developed can return to their natural state and the environmental impact is mitigated. We will be putting out new caches soon, hopefully within the week. Thank you to all who have hunted these caches and visited our parks.

Geocache Description:

This is another cache in Wintergarden Nature Preserve. There 6 new caches here now and you can walk to them on mulched trails. There is only one parking lot for all six caches. All the caches here are of a low difficulty rating and not far off the trail. However, they are far enough off the trail that you may encounter poison ivy, so long pants are recommended.

There are four caches in this part of the woods. The route is circular, so unless you screw up you can hunt them all by staying on the same trail. This cache is near an old trail that has been closed so that it can return to it’s natural state. Some of the secondary trails, like the geocaches, are eliminated periodically to lessen the impact on the surroundings.
