Some folks have commented to us that geocaching is a waste of time - chasing rainbows as it may. We say that geocaching has enlightened us in many ways. Thanks to geocachers and their creative hides, during the past 36 months we have learned many different things:

We have learned:
How to count in multiple languages
How to work code machines from World War II
How carvers sculpt waterfowl decoys
And that waiting 5 minutes for the GPS to settle down can save 15 minutes of searching in circles.



If you're approaching along the fence line, you may encounter some barking dogs.They are friendly and will not cause any harm. If you don't want to contend with the dogs, then you could always take the main trail and then have a short bushwhack to reach gz. Just be aware that the trail may have a few soggy areas after a rainstorm. Remember that the only LEGAL parking is in the main lot. You are looking for a small container big enough for geocoins and small TBs about a third of a mile from parking.
