Springhouse Traditional Cache
khj5c: I haven't done any geocaching in years. I used to live near the trail to this geocache but now that I live in a different part of town I don't really want to be responsible for maintaining this cache. I am glad it has led several people to discover a really neat spot off the Rivanna Trail but it's time to archive this one.

An easy micro located off the Rivanna Trail near the University of Virginia law school and business school.
No stones need to be moved to find the cache. It is a small green PET preform with a yellow cap (thanks to hzoi for providing the container!). Bring your own pen or pencil.
For evening and weekend searches, I recommend parking at the RTF trailhead behind the law school (Nash Drive); be sure to heed the posted signs (some spaces are restricted at all times, and the lot may be closed for special events). Before 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, or when the lot is closed, I suggest parking on Arlington Road and walking up to the law school trailhead, or parking on Cedars Court and using the Barracks Road trailhead. The trail to the cache can also be accessed from Old Ivy Road and Leonard Sandridge Drive.
The terrain rating is based on the hike from the law school trailhead. Keep an eye out for poison ivy, especially at that trailhead.
NOTE: Along the Barracks Road to Old Ivy segment of the Rivanna Trail there are ruins of three or four historic foundations; please be careful not to damage them.
