Geocache Description:

Approx. 4.5 miles N of Ephrata on Norton Canyon Rd.

Well, I was on jury duty for the month of September. We were called in for a trial in the Grant County Superior Court on the last day of the month. I thought I'd made it through the month without having to report.....but noooo.

So what to do during the 1.5 hour lunch break? Yep --- go look for a cool spot to hide a cache. This one is out Norton Canyon Rd. near a high spot just off the road.

On the first day of the trial one of the attorneys was discussing with the potential jurors the importance of being willing to look at "the big picture" as a jury; weighing all of the evidence before reaching a verdict. Afterwards the jury was selected and I was selected to serve as one of three alternate jurors. This meant that I would sit in on the entire trial but wouldn't have to join the jury of 12 in deliberations and reaching a verdict unless one of the 12 needed to be replaced.

As I found this cache location I realized that one could see almost the entirity of Grant Co. from this spot. Great view. So that's why this cache is called "the big picture."

So come on out to Norton Canyon Rd. and check out the view, it's pretty cool. Oh yeah, and don't forget the cache. It's a camo'ed medium sized PB jar hidden in a common manner. Please recap tightly and replace as found.

Terrain is a gentle sloping brush covered hillside. Didn't see any but snake warning should be in effect during the warm season.
