Downing Provincial Park almost encircles Kelly Lake and is located close to Clinton.
The walk-in lakeside campsites are on a grassy field adjacent to the parking lot. Swimming and angling for trout is a popular past time. The park land was donated to the people of BC by C. S. Downing in 1970, and his family still owns adjacent property.
Cache is a small lock & lock. When I placed the cache I noticed my arm was covered in ants!!! This park is filled with ants! I did the screeching, yelling pulling off my clothes, help me dance and was able to remove all the ants. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE ANTS....DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIND THIS CACHE! But it would be fun to send in your friend...
