Geocache Description:


Join us on Saturday (2/6/10) 5-9 pm for a mid-winter meet and greet in the Parish Hall of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Martha's (AllStarSS) famous chili provided....bring a salad, soft drinks or dessert to share.

This is to recognize those in our community who have reached "milestones" recently ("00" caches). Post a note (by Tuesday midnight, 2/2/10) with the most recent milestone you have reached, and we will present you with a printed certificate commemorating your achievement.

The event will conclude with the presentation of "Hidey" awards recognizing special achievements in geocaching. Nomination Parameters:
• Caches must have been placed between August 1, 2007 and Dec 31, 2009. (Archived caches that were placed during the date range are eligible for nomination)
• All Caches must be within the area of: N 37 28.000; W 77 00.000; E 75 48.398 and S the North Carolina Border.
• You must have found the cache in order to nominate it for a Hidey Award
• All nominations are due by 1/10/2010 You may nominate up to THREE caches per category.

OUTSTANDING TRADITIONAL CACHE (regular size)
The type of cache that started it all! The caches nominated here are those standard ammo cans or regular-sized boxes that are simply placed and marked with coordinates without puzzles to solve or multiple stages and such. However, we are looking for the best of the best of these traditional caches.

Anybody can place a nano-container on a piece of metal but what makes a great micro cache? Caches nominated in this category answer that question by using the micro cache's size to achieve a great effect that couldn't be done with a traditional cache. It's hard to make a satisfying micro but these caches offer the finder something creative and special.
