Anvil Beach Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Caching Camerons, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

The third of three for the Nullaki Peninsula this one is a medium sized camo cache but classed as small due to it's holding capasity! Contains a log book, small pencil, a First to Find prize and enough room for small Trackables. Please note there is no need to leave the path to retreve the cache so as to preserve the vegitation.

At the dead end of the very long and windy but enjoyably scenic Eden road you will discover Anvil beach, frequented mostly by surfers and fisher folk but i urge you to not just view it from the lookout but to explore this magnificent beach with its anvil shaped limestone formations and large sheets of reef. There is a very long stretch of beach to the right and apparently somewhere along this stretch is a large old steel mooring that is exposed periodically as the sand deposits move around. To the left is a pass through a large limestone out crop that leads you too another beach which i am guessing is what i have heard the locals refer to as the Aquarium. Enjoy the location and enjoy the hunt!!
