Geocache Description:

Cache is placed with permission from the local management. It used to be a Pelican box but is now a lock-n-lock. We're hoping this can be a good place for travel bugs.

Caching is such a wonderful sport-we have made so many friends in the past few years and this cache commemorates a great story.

We were fortunate enough to meet up with Captain Russell (CaptRussell) while he was on a layover in our hometown. Being a pilot, he enjoys caching near the hotels that he stays at all over the country, and as he was coming to GRR, he had asked for confirmation on one of our puzzles, and thus began the dialog.
Over the next three weeks back in April 2006, we were able to show him some of our favorite GR caches. We had such a great time caching, talking about flying, airplanes, and traveling. The time is always too short. Thankfully his flying schedule of the past couple years have allowed us several more caching adventures in the Greater Grand Rapids Area.
This spot was the site of our very first breakfast (best grits I could find for a northern city).

As the Captain is in town for this new cache, he gets the FTF honors. (Look for his signature airplane logo on the first page of the log.)
