Geocache Description:

As the cache name implies the cache is a micro in size and it's located near a church. You will need to bring your own pen.

St. Chad's Church, Sproxton has an interesting history. Built in the 1640s 1½ miles away at West Newton Grange where it was originally a chapel but by the mid 19th Century it use had changed to a barn. In 1879 the main fabric of the church was moved stone by stone to its current location. The rebuilding was under the supervision of the architect G.Gilbert Scott and Temple Moore who endeavoured to retain the 17th Century charater of the original building, the small bell tower was added at a later date. If anybody would like to expand the Church Micro series please do so, but we would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names, to avoid duplication.
