Kunigida ruins are ruins in a typical village of the middle on the age of Jomon excavated along with the road maintenance and construction in 1975.
Because the state of conservation was very good, it was specified for the historic site in the country.
Ruins piled up the soil, were preserved after the investigation, and the ruins park was maintained.
The excavated relic is stored to the hometown material pavilion in the city, and a permanent exhibition is done partially.
昭和50年（1975）に区画整理事業に伴い発掘された遺跡で、縄文時代中期の典型的な集落として保存状態が非常によかったため、国の史跡に指定されました。長期にわたって人々が住み続けた結果、多数の住居跡が重複した状態で発見されています。建て替えや拡張した痕跡のある住居跡もあります。
これらの遺構は、土を盛って保存され、その上は平成元年〜2年で遺跡公園として整備されています。公園周辺の木々は、縄文時代に生えていたと思われる木を植えています。
出土した遺物は、郷土資料館に収蔵され、一部は常設展に展示されています。
