The benten pond is a spring-fed pond where the Tokyo salamander was discovered for the first time after the war. It was newly maintained as a park in April, 2009.

弁天池は戦後初めてトウキョウサンショウウオが発見された湧水池です。
2009年の４月に公園として新しく整備されました。
