Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the above location. Solve the clues to find the cache.

Have you ever played with a shortwave radio and heard weird broadcasts of numbers?

If so, then you've probably heard a number station. Number stations are shortwave radio stations of uncertain origin which generally broadcast artificially generated voices reading streams of numbers, words, letters, tunes or Morse code.

They're broadcast in a wide variety of languages and the voices are usually women's, although sometimes men's or children's voices are used, as are musical pieces such as Jean Michelle Jarre's Magnetic Field.

Evidence supports popular assumptions that the broadcasts are used to send messages to spies but this usage has not been publicly acknowledged by any government that may operate a numbers station.

Recordings of transmissions are freely available from irdial discs, and more information can be found here.

You may even want to have a go at cracking one for real - the details are on the website, but for now you have to crack my numbers station transmission.....
