Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild : Un palais de rêve, des jardins célèbres, un décor exquis et un emplacement sans pareil. A dream of a palazzo, famous gardens, exquisite decoration and a location incomparable.
La villa est un des plus beaux palais de la Belle Epoche de style Renaissance de la Côte d'Azur construit sur le sommet du Cap Ferrat par la baronne Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, passionnée d'architecture, de nature et d'art.
Toutes les passions de la baronne sont représentées ici : un somptueux palais renaissance italien inspiré de Florence et de Venise, 9 jardins à thèmes, ainsi que des meubles, décorations et objets d’art de différents styles, époques et origines. Dans le passé il y avait même un zoo qui aujourd’hui a disparu.
La villa domine la presqu’île de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat et la vue depuis la villa et ses jardins est exceptionnelle.
La cache :
Elle ne se trouve pas sur le terrain de la villa – elle se cache sur un terrain public. Il n’est pas nécessaire de visiter la villa et de payer l’entrée pour faire cette cache.
Par contre, il faut quand-même y aller pendant les horaires d’ouverture pour trouver les coordonnées de la cache – et pour profiter au moins un peu de la beauté du site depuis l’extérieur.
Horaires d’ouverture :
Du 15 février au 1er novembre : de 10h à 18h (19h en juillet et août).
Du 2 novembre au 14 février : semaine de 14h à 18h, week-end, jours fériés et vacances scolaires de 10h à 18h.

On the French Riviera, the villa is one of the most beautiful palazzos of the Belle Epoche constructed in Renaissance style on top of the Cap Ferrat by Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild – she was passionate about architecture, nature and art.
All the passions of the Baroness are assembled here: a magnificent renaissance palace inspired by Florence and Venice, nine gardens - each on a different theme - as well as furniture, decoration and art objects of different styles, epochs and origins. Previously, there was even a zoo which has disappeared today.
The villa overlooks the peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the view from the villa and its gardens is exceptional.
The cache :
It is not located in the area of the villa – it is hidden on public ground. It is not mandatory to visit the villa and to pay the entrance fee to find this cache. However, it is necessary to go there during opening hours to find the coordinates of the cache – and to take advantage of the beauty of the site at least a little bit from outside.
