Nice easy cache located on the Matarangi Peninsula Walkway.
The walkway is a recent development that gives excellent access to the public to the end of the Matarangi Peninsula, home to a Dotterel breeding area and 'The Dunes' golf course. Sharks are often are seen off the Whangapoua Harbour bar in the summer.
Wonderful spot with magnificent sea views. This location can be a high muggle traffic area, from nearby golfers and track walkers, especially in summer. At other times you may be the only person/people around.
Cache is well hidden in a black, round container. Plenty of room inside for Travel Bugs and trackables. Area is a lot more sandy than it originally was but this should not be too much of a problem. Please re-hide the cache well.
