Grab your tackle box and rod and head off to Saltwater National Park.
This Multi cache is located just down the road from the National Park that surrounds Saltwater Lagoon, and is one of my favourite fishing spots. The lagoon is home to some pretty good Flathead (Please let the big mommas go) as well as some good Estuary Perch in the upper reaches.
It’s also a terrific place to come for a family picnic as it provides free barbecues and amenities along with a beautiful lagoon and surfing beach. The lagoon stretches back from the Ocean for about 5km, so also provides a great canoeing or kayaking opportunity.
The Park is also host to some fantastic birdlife, Jabiru, Satin and Regent Bowerbirds can be seen at various times of the year along with the ever present Osprey, Kites and Eagles.

The published coordinates will take you to “The Bait”. ”The Bait” is a mint tin that houses the coordinates of “The Fishin’ Hole” along with something useful for obtaining the cache.
At the time of posting the cache contained log book, pen and pencil and about 20 assorted lures that have spent too much time in my tackle box. Please feel free to swap these for any item, but if replacing with a lure, please remove the hooks first.
