No Lookout Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cairngorm: This corner of the park is destroyed. Every house along the lane from Lookout Drive is destroyed. I didn't explore very far beyond the lookout, because of mud after last night's storm, but looking across the valley with an unbroken view of treeless rock and dirt I'm sure none of my caches could have survived. I'm archiving around ten of them today.

Geocache Description:

An elevated point overlooking the west end of Malibu Creek State Park, just 300 yards past a little-known marked Park trailhead.

For easiest access, park in the highest space you can find on Lookout Drive and head uphill. In the first hundred yards you'll pass three official park-related signs: "Park Off Pavement," "State Park Boundary" and "Welcome to Malibu Creek State Park." You also have to pass an unofficial sign saying "Private Road", and guess what? you'll find the public park and the trailhead a few steps beyond that.
