Most access paths to the Pentlands have caches to mark them. This route has a signpost at the start by the 'Scottish Rights of Way Society' to Torphin and Bonaly. So it deserves a cache to mark the route, plus it is also the start of the cache, 'A Second Pentland Walk'.
Parking is available at the top of Kirkgate (N55 53.242, W003 18.091), outside Currie, room for about 4 cars.
Start up the farm track, which is called Ranges Road, heading South towards the Pentland Hills.
A simple cache, to start this Ranges Road mini series. Its a painted cammo, and its not really hidden. It is small but it will hold small items, coins etc. Should be a quick and easy find.
This cache is on the route of a puzzle cache called 'A Second Pentland Walk', which is more about the walk than the puzzle.
