Geocache Description:

The Cache lies on a height of 2400 m in a nature reserve and is accessible from the Binntal (ch) and the Alpe Devero (it).

The mountain pass becomes in the west of the Albrunhorn (ital. Monte Figascian, 2'885 m ü. M.), in the east of the stove horn (ital. Punta d'Arbola, 3'235 m ü. M.) towers above. Something below the passport height stands on 2'265 m ü. M. the Binntalhütte of the Swiss Alpine club SAC. She serves as a lodging for a pass crossing or as a starting point for mountain ascents in the surroundings.

The alpine pass was already presumably used in the younger Iron Age. In Roman time the pass won in meaning what is underpinned by several grave findings in the Binntal. The rise to the pass offered no special difficulties on the Italian side. Nevertheless, on the north side long time an obstacle which had to be avoided according to destination either to the west or to the east about a mountain crest formed the impassable Twingischlucht of the Binna between Binn and the Goms. Only in 1938 a route with several short tunnels was put on and in 1965 a nearly 2 km long road tunnel was opened.

The Cache is in an airtight container and is waited by the family Zenklusen in Giesse (Binn).
