Geocache Description:

Easy access with nearby parking.

************************************************
This cache was nominated for the 2010 Hidey Awards in the category:
TENACIOUS, INCREDULOUS, CACHE K (special category) AWARD as a cache "that gets under your skin and eats away at you. You can't ignore it. It must be found and removed from your DNF list."
************************************************

This ties neatly to several other caches connected to historical sites nearby. Ferry Plantation Road was near the boundary of the historic Ferry Plantation House property although the Ferry Plantation House itself is quite some distance away. The Ferry Plantation House stands on the site of the second Princess Anne Courthouse which was the site of the trial of Grace Sherwood, known as the "Witch of Pungo."

Hopefully this micro cache will present a bit of a challenge to even some of the experienced cachers and I'm hoping that this particular type of cache hasn't been seen around here! There can at times be a lot of muggle traffic nearby and if you want to avoid that an early morning visit or late afternoon visit might be in order. A stealthy approach can work wonders as you make a quick move under cover.

Log only so bring your own writing stick!

***PLEASE READ***
Please be kind to your fellow cachers so that they can also enjoy this cache as it was intended by replacing this cache EXACTLY where it has been found AND in the manner it was found (with the opening for the log facing DOWNWARD). Please also take an extra second or so to ensure that you have the log properly seated in its container so that when the lid is closed it does actually close and seal the log container.

IF you find the cache and suspect that it is out of place, etc., please feel free to snap a pic and email it to me. That way if it isn't right I can get to it and correct it.

Thanks!
