An easy walk along the Erie Canal towpath.
This is a small container hidden along a section of the towpath that I think is a bit more scenic than usual. The cache has room for a few small trade items.
You can approach the cache from either direction. If you walk east from the Day Rd bridge you'll have a very nice view of the apple orchards to the north. It's a shorter walk from the other way, but the view isn't as scenic. It is also possible to make this a park and grab, but doing so would certainly draw unwanted attention to the cache location. Park your vehicle and go for a walk.
It was a beautiful sunny Fall day when I placed the cache. The apple harvest was in full swing, and the woods forming a backdrop were nearing the peak of their Autumn colors. A few joggers and dog walkers were using the towpath, and a lone motorboat was making a late season run up the canal.
