La Pattuglia Bravo Two Zero, ha l'arduo compito di sabotare le linee di comunicazione irachena e, nel contempo, di identificare le postazioni lanciamissili Scud. Durante lo svolgimento della missione, dopo esser stati scoperti ed esser fuggiti per centinaia di chilometri nel deserto inseguiti dall'esercito iracheno, su un totale di 8 uomini facenti parte della pattuglia, 3 moriranno durante i combattimenti, 4 verranno catturati e solo uno riuscirà a raggiungere il confine siriano e a salvarsi.

Andy McNab, autore del libro, è lo pseudonimo dietro al quale si cela un ex-sottufficiale del SAS che fu il comandante della vera Pattuglia "Bravo Two Zero". Nel libro viene minuziosamente narrata la vicenda di questa squadra di specialisti, dall'addestramento in Gran Bretagna alla sfortunata missione durante la Guerra del Golfo.

La tua missione

Nel ultimo radiomessaggio ricevuto da B20 ci hanno communicato di aver lasciato le coordinate delle postazioni lanciamissili SCUD. Il tuo compito è di infiltrare l'area d'operazione, trovare le tracce della pattuglia Bravo Two Zero e recuperare le informazioni importanti sulle postazioni SCUD.

Per questa missione è importante di sapere bene usare il tuo navigatore GPS. Se non ti ricordi, rileggi il briefing su "Rilevazione di una posizione tramite distanza e gradi". Sará usato il sistema di coordinate della NATO: l'UTM.

Bravo Two Zero was the call sign of an eight-man British Army SAS patrol, deployed into Iraq during the First Gulf War in January, 1991. According to one patrol member's account, the patrol were given the task of "gathering intelligence;... finding a good LUP (lying up position) and setting up an obersvation point" on the Iraqi Main Supply Route (MSR) between Baghdad and North-Western Iraq, while according to another, the task was to find and destroy Iraqi Scud (missile launchers) along a 250 km (160 mi) stretch of the MSR.

Bravo Two Zero is a 1993 book written under the pseudonym 'Andy McNab'. The book recounts the story of an SAS patrol behind enemy lines in Iraq, in 1991, which was led by the author.

Mission Briefing

In the last radio message received from B20 they informed us about hiding important information about SCUD launcher positions. Your mission is to infiltrate the OA (operation area) and obtain these information.

For this mission you will need profond knowledge about GPS orientation. If you don't remember, go and study the briefings about "Orientation with distance and bearing". It will be used the NATO coordinates system UTM.
