This is a lovely, gentle walk across fields from the village of Crowle. Although very flat it still offers some nice views across Worcestershire towards Upton Snodsbury church and south to Bredon. It also crosses the village playing field which has a fantastic children’s play area with picnic tables. The fields occasionally contain bullocks but these have never bothered us so far (even with a borrowed dog!) There are no stiles but the gate areas can become muddy in wet weather. All in all, a child friendly walk and cache. It’s my first one, so I hope you enjoy discovering this little corner of Worcestershire.
After finding the cache you could retrace your footsteps or carry on to the road, turning right, to find your way back to the village. It could be combined with Tanglewood cache which is nearby.
Suggested parking is in Froxmere Rd, Crowle, but please be careful not to cause an obstruction. Once parked, head for the nearby bridleway. Coordinates given below.
The cache is a 1 litre Lock n Lock box in a camouflaged bag.
Please ensure cache is hidden from all angles, as in winter there is very little leaf cover.
Thanks and Good luck!
Congratulations to MMH&C - FTF on day one! Well done.
