Geocache Description:

Only marked 1.5 because it is not wheelchair accessible. Magnetic key holder.

This cache begins your trek from the 1800's through the present.
Built by the National Park Service, the Western HIstoric Trails
Center is now owned by the State Historical Society of Iowa. The
Center interprets the opening of the west and specifically the
Lewis and Clark, Mormon Pioneer, California and Oregon Trails.
There are Nearly 460 acres of prairie, wetland, woods, a lake and
the Missouri River to explore. The area also hosts 9 geocaches.
Walk the trails, fish the lake (with a valid IA fishing license),
geocache, visit the museum and watch a movie. Enjoy your time at
the WHTC.
