Though you are welcome to choose
your route into the Cache, if you would like to, the
Family’s
typical route has been laid out
for you below in the map and waypoints. Mixing well used
and
maintained Hilton Falls Trails,
with a Bruce Side Trail offers a variety of terrain.
Start by asking for bird seed at
the Gate House while paying your entrance fee or showing
your
seasons pass. Park and get
ready for about a 5km walk. Near the Cache
you’ll find a pothole
and the Falls themselves.
Take time to go down the stairs to see a little local history.
A viewing station gets you
picture-close to the 10 metre waterfall that cascades over
the
Niagara Escarpment and the mill
ruins that surround it.
Back up top there is a picnic
area and campfire pit. Closer to the trees many tame
chickadees
are willing to land in your hand
for food!
