dopo oltre due mesi dalla mia ultima nota, non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta.

Per questa ragione sono costretto ad archiviare questo cache. Se non lo hai ancora fatto, per favore raccogli ogni resto del cache al più presto possibile.
Se avete intenzione di intervenire sul cache, una volta completata l'operazione per favore lasciatemi un messaggio con il numero waypoint GC relativo al cache. Sarò più che lieto di verificare nuovamente il cache per verificare la sua conformità con le linee guida.

after more than two months from my last note I have not receive any answer and no action has been taken on the cache. For this reason, I am archiving it. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
If you are going to fix the problems connected to this cache, once it is ready please drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache. I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:


I colori, in origine, furono gialli e neri come il guscio della tartaruga. Le vicende politiche portarono a cambiarli in bianco-giallo (1847) e negli attuali (1858).

È il simbolo della terra sia nell'antica tradizione cinese e asiatica sia nella magia e nell'alchimia medioevale. Corrisponde all'aspetto nell'equilibrio simbolico del tempio cristiano (come è evidente anche nelle acquasantiere di Antonio Federighi nel Duomo). La tradizione pone la sua discendenza dalle insegne sui labari delle legioni romane che occuparono l'antica fortezza etrusca, sostituendo il serpente, animale sacro a Giove, che figurò a lungo sui primitivi stemmi bianco-neri della città.

Le compagnie militari sono note per le eroiche gesta nell'insurrezione che portò alla "Cacciata degli spagnoli" (27 luglio 1552), di cui è memoria in una lapide apposta dalla Tartuca a Porta Tufi nel quarto centenario del glorioso evento.

La sua sede è in via delle Murella (oggi Tommaso Pendola in omaggio al grande scolopio che nel secolo scorso iniziò un nuovo metodo educativo per sordomuti fondando in quella zona un grande istituto).

Ha per Patrono Sant'Antonio da Padova. I suoi abitanti si riunivano anticamente nella Chiesa di Sant'Ansano (territorio della Chiocciola) che sorge accanto alla torre dove Ansano Battista di Siena era stato imprigionato dal Proconsole Lisia.

Nell'Oratorio attuale di Sant'Antonio da Padova, costruito dai contradaioli nel 1682, si può ammirare un pregevole lavoro di intaglio sul paliotto dell'altare maggiore. Interessante la raccolta di oreficeria e arredi sacri. Nella sede possiede un affresco di Enzo Cesarini (1961).

Il gruppo bronzeo della fontanina del battesimo contradaiolo è opera dello scultore Bruno Buracchini (1951).

È considerata una delle più antiche Contrade occupando uno dei tre primitivi centri cittadini. In Castelvecchio sorse la prima Cattedrale di Siena dedicata a San Bonifazio e vi ebbero sede i primi vescovi: Lucifero, Floriano, Bosto ed Eusepio. Sorsero qui i castelli delle famiglie dei Tegolei e dei Conti di Tintinnano.

La Contrada è gemellata, dal 1959, con la città di Trento.

La Società è intitolata "Castel Senio " dal leggendario fondatore della città.

Originally the colors of this Contrada were yellow and black, like a tortoise shell but had to be changed to white and yellow in 1847 and then to the present colors in 1858 for political reasons.

It symbolizes the earth both in ancient Chinese and Asian tradition and in the alchemy and magic of the Middle Ages. Its appearance is similar to that of the symbol of equilibrium in the Christian Church (also apparent from the holy water font by Antonio Federighi in the cathedral). Tradition attributes its origin to the ensign on the imperial standards of the Roman legions which occupied the ancient Etruscan fortress (of Siena). It replaced the sacred snake of Jupiter which had been on the early black and white emblems of the city for many years.

The military companies of the Contrada are famous for their heroic gesture in the insurrection which brought about the overthrow of the Spaniards, commemorated on a plaque placed by the Tartuca people at Porta Tufi on the 4th centenary anniversary of this glorious event.

The Contrada Seat is in via delle Murella which today is called Tommaso Pendola after the person who introduced a new teaching method for the deaf and dumb and founded a large institute in that area.

The Patron Saint of the Contrada is Saint Anthony of Padua. In ancient times its inhabitants meet in the Church of San'Ansano (Chiocciola territory) which is next to the tower where Ansano Battista of Siena was imprisoned by the Proconsul Lisia.

There is a valuable engraved frontal on the great altar in the present Oratory of Saint Anthony of Padua built by the Contrada in 1682. The collection of gold and jeweler and holy furnishings and ornaments is of great interest. The Seat of the Contrada houses a fresco by Enzo Casarini (1961).

The figures in bronze on the baptismal font is the work of the sculptor Bruno Buracchini (1951).

The Tartuca is considered one of the oldest Contradas to have occupied one of the three original centers of the city. The first cathedral of Siena, dedicated to San Bonifazio was built in Castelvecchio and the first bishops Lucifero, Floriano, Bosto and Eusepio had their Seats here. The castles of the Tegoli and of the Conti di Tintinnano families were also built here.

In 1959 the city of Trento was "twinned" with this Contrada.

The "Società" is called "Castel Senio" after the legendary founder of the city of Siena.
