This is an ammo box in the desert. There is parking nearby and only a short walk is involved. It has a camera for you to take your photo while visiting the cache. When the camera has all the pictures taken, please let me know and I will develop and post.
On August 5, 2001, the first geocache was hidden in Dona Ana County. It was called Baylor’s Booty (GC1515) and was placed by GeoCat & GeoKitty. The cache is still active and should be considered a ‘must find’ by anyone who geocaches in the Southern New Mexico. And, although they did not log all of the Event Caches they attended, they always seemed to be there.
A few years ago, GeoCat passed away. While cleaning out the garage, GeoKitty, found several old ammo cans – one already loaded and ready to be hid. She asked that I hide the cache. Since they did all the work and went to all the expense, I was more than happy to hide the cache. Now, your job is to go out and find it.
Please bring a trade item and remember to take your picture at the cache site.
