This lake is know as the Old Spiro City Lake but was later named Ward Lake. It is no longer the water supply for Spiro but just a recreation lake.
You can hike, bicycle, fish, or feed the ducks and geese. There is a small playground. Picnic tables and grills are available.
You will have to hike to this cache. Depending on how far you park as to how far you must walk. There is parking three areas near the cache. A paved walking trail will take you to a dirt hiking trail through the wooded area. Take the dirt trail. You will still need to bushwhack about 25 or 30 feet but it is not bad.
As with all caches in the woods be aware of the posion plants, snakes, Texas size skeeters and so forth.
There is a few trade items and a travel bug in the cache. A FTF dollar also awaits.
The cache was placed on a cloudy overcast day so if there is a problem with the cords , let me know. Good luck and always have fun.
